MAYDAY Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a global insurance organisation to recruit an experienced Mailroom Clerk to support corporate operations on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive Mailroom Clerk to join a fast-paced corporate environment. The role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, supporting multiple departments across the business.

This role is a temporary assignment from 20th July 2026 to 23rd October 2026, providing leave cover for an existing team member. Full commitment across this period is essential. Candidates seeking an immediate start or shorter-term opportunities may find this role is not the right fit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and courier deliveries
  • Sort and deliver mail across multiple departments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Scan, file, archive and retrieve mail documents
  • Maintain an accurate log of postage and courier charges, receipts and other records as required
  • Maintain mailroom equipment and supplies, including printers, franking machines, and packaging materials
  • Handle confidential documents with discretion and in line with company policies
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding mail queries and delivery requirements
  • Ensure the mailroom is kept organised, clean, and operating efficiently at all times
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to the broader operations team as required
  • Assist with lifting and moving of mail deliveries (up to approx. 20kg)
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience in a mailroom, logistics, or office support role within a corporate environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of mail and deliveries
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive documents
  • Confident communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders across all levels
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
  • A team player with a positive and professional attitude
  • Experience within a similar role is essential
