- Industry experience in either Insurance, wealth management superannuation or financial advice services is very desirable
- Have a strong understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to an ASIC and APRA regulated business
- Strong understanding of the financial services provisions of the Corporations Act
- Have experience in liaising with regulators and external dispute resolution body (AFCA) and advising in respect of regulatory expectations
- Assisting on significant projects and transactions including capital raisings, change of major shareholder events, drafting and negotiating complex contracts, regulatory matters.
- Providing advice regarding financial services regulatory reform and its implementation; obligations under industry codes, legislation and regulatory policy.
- Providing advice in relation to wealth/ superannuation products continued administration, and financial planning services.
- Providing legal analysis and advice in relation to one or more of the following financial services: life insurance, superannuation, managed investments, and financial advice including product structuring, relevant law reform and regulatory matters
