What will you be doing?
Support the School’s emergency / critical incident management processes in the capacity of Deputy Chief Warden, and assist with the arrival and directions to emergency services
Manage bookings and usage of the War Memorial Hall, in particular with regard to assemblies and examination schedules and set up
Raise maintenance requests with Facilities Services and / or technology set up requests with Technology Services as required
Order, receipt, stocktake and issue stationary supplies
Oversee the use, maintenance and records management for day house lockers and allocation of padlocks, including maintaining records in Synergetic
Collect and sort lost property
Assist in the management of unplanned teaching staff absences, including attempting to trace / locate the staff member, liaising with the School Academic Administration Coordinator to identify a replacement and undertake emergency class supervision until a replacement can be arranged
Take reasonable care for own and others safety. Identify and report WHS hazards as required. Assist in risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action processes as required
All other duties as required from time-to-time as arranged or requested by the Deputy Headmaster
What experience do you need?
Must be a former member of the armed-forces or police force, or a qualified teacher (does not carry a teaching load)
Previous experience with database systems and reporting (Synergetic desirable, but not essential)
Experience undertaking risk assessments
Working knowledge of a senior school environment and an appreciation for its’ day-to-day operations
Assist with incident investigations and preparing reports
Superior attention to detail
Prior experience in a similar role
