MAYDAY is delighted to support a leading Employee Relations provider in sourcing a Employment Relations Specialist to deliver advice and guidance on the modern awards and wage compliance to a diverse client base across multiple industries. They support over 25,000 small business with workplace relations, offering various services to ensure compliance.

An exciting opportunity to embrace this newly created position and provide expert knowledge to clients as well as being the subject matter expert internally playing a vital role within the team.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Provide advice and guidance on wage queries to internal team of Employee Relations Consultants, act as a point of escalation for complex queries
  • Manage complex wage queries and cases directly with the client from start to finish
  • Prepare wage related resources for the team as well as running workshops to educate on modern award compliance and how to manage appropriately with clients
  • Contribute to resources for client usage such as fact-sheets 
  • Manage wage review projects with clients – e.g. amendments to national minimum wage or modern awards

The ideal candidate will have
  • Extensive knowledge of interpreting and advising on Modern Awards and the Fair Work Act
  • Knowledge of complex awards such as Building and Construction and SCHADS would be advantageous
  • Current knowledge of national employment legislation and framework
  • Exceptional communicator both internally and with clients
  • Qualifications within law, industrial relations and human resources would be advantageous
