Meet MAYDAY’s Lifesavers of February

This month of February, we had such a huge response of nominations from our clients about how amazing our temps are doing in their roles, that we ended up choosing two winners!

Congratulations Matt & Mena!

Meet Matt! Matt’s manager told us how Matt had “joined the team and at an extremely busy time for them, but picked everything up they have thrown his way. He has gone above and beyond, by picking up anything and everything!” She credits Matt as an absolute Lifesaver! Congratulations Matt, amazing feedback!

Let’s hear what he has to say!

Well done Matt on being MAYDAY’s Lifesaver of February – how does it feel?

It feels great to be recognised for your contribution as a contractor. It can be tough to feel you are making an impact, especially remote working, so it’s nice to know that you are.

What advice would you give someone going into a new contract role?

Be curious and listen.

Tell us the most interesting thing you have learned since being in your role?

Meeting people across business units and learning their role and how it all interplays is brilliant – particularly in a place as big and complex as my company.

Meet our next MAYDAY Lifesaver of the February – Mena! Mena only started his role a couple of weeks ago and has already made a massive impact. “As his team leader, my observations is that from the start he has integrated extremely well into the team, learned the systems and processes very quickly, and has shown dedication to improve his knowledge and productivity. He is a positive, reliable, easy-going and respectful individual”.

WOW, fantastic words Mena, and what a wonderful job you must be doing to receive such great feedback. How does it feel to be MAYDAY’s Lifesaver of February?

It feels great!

What advice would you give someone going into a new contract role?

My advice is to be patient and focus on the new position as learning and gaining new experience.

Tell us the most interesting thing you have learned since being in your role?

Dealing with different types of people and learning new systems.

Congratulations to both our winners. You guys are both winners of a Westfield shopping voucher – enjoy!

A big shout out to all our other candidates that received their nominations! Have a read what their managers had to say about their amazing contributions within their roles.

Do you need a lifesaver? Or do you think you can save the day for MAYDAY?
