MAYDAY Recruitment is seeking an experienced  claims professional to join a high-performing Accident & Health team within a leading insurance company! 

A fantastic opportunity to step into a specialist role managing complex claims with a strong focus on stakeholder communication, compliance, and timely resolution.


You’ll play a key part in helping clients through the claims process while contributing to best-practice improvements in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Manage and assess accident and health claims from start to resolution.
  • Review medical records and policy documentation to determine eligibility and liability.
  • Conduct investigations, liaise with policyholders, claimants, and healthcare providers.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to gather information and clarify claims details.
  • Make informed settlement decisions within authority limits.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and internal claims processes.
  • Guide and support other claims staff with technical queries or complex cases.
  • Contribute insights to improve claims processes and mitigate risk.

The ideal candidate:
  • 3+ years’ experience in accident & health insurance claims, or similar experience within Workers Comp, CTP, Life insurance, Loss of income, Financial Lines or Injury management. 
  • Strong understanding of policy language, claims legislation, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Familiar with claims management systems and software.
