About the Role

In this role you will support daily accounting operations, working closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate processing, reporting, and reconciliation of financial transactions. You’ll also build strong relationships with both internal staff and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process creditor and trust payments
  • Manage the Creditors and Internal Banking inboxes
  • Maintain the Practice Trust Account, including payments and audit support
  • Reconcile ANZ, Trust and credit card accounts
  • Process invoices and disbursements
  • Prepare daily cash and working capital reports
  • Assist with short-term cash flow forecasting
  • Support month-end reporting and month-end close
  • Process employee reimbursements
  • Prepare payment runs with correct documentation for approval
  • Ensure timely payments, including client trust account payments
  • Generate balances, statements, and reports
  • Assist with documenting procedures for the Finance Manual
  • Support the admin team during peak periods (with Finance Manager approval)
About You
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in a similar Accounts or Finance role
  • Strong IT skills, including Xero and Microsoft Excel (essential)
  • Experience with Kloud Connect and/or trust accounts (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Positive, reliable, and self-motivated attitude
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment 
Qualifications

Ideally studying towards or completed a bookkeeping or accounting qualification
