The Opportunity

As Branch Manager, you’ll be responsible for the performance and day-to-day leadership of a busy customer-facing location. You’ll lead a team, coach them to achieve their goals and personally contribute to the branch’s success.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be sitting behind a desk waiting for customers to walk through the door. You’ll be encouraged to get out into the local community, build meaningful connections and find new ways to generate awareness and engagement.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of three customer-facing consultants.
  • Take ownership of branch sales targets and performance.
  • Coach the team in consultative and needs-based selling.
  • Personally engage with customers and support them at the counter.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and community organisations.
  • Represent the branch at local events, pop-ups and community initiatives.
  • Develop opportunities to increase customer traffic and sales.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Ensure strong risk, compliance and operational standards are maintained.
  • Create a positive, collaborative and high-performing branch environment.

What’s On Offer?

  • Potential incentive paid bi-annually, based on performance
  • 50% discount on insurance with the organisation
  • Four additional paid leave days per year
  • Comprehensive paid induction and training in Sydney, including flights, accommodation and meals
  • A genuine opportunity to combine people leadership, sales, customer experience and community engagement

What We're Looking For

We’re open to where your experience has come from. You may have built your career in retail, banking, financial services, insurance, telecommunications, luxury retail or another service-sales environment.

More important than your industry background is your ability to lead people, connect with customers and drive results.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience leading a retail, sales or customer service team.
  • A strong track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
  • Experience with consultative or needs-based selling.
  • Confidence coaching and developing team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine customer-first approach.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify new business opportunities.
  • Confidence networking and representing an organisation within the local community.
  • Strong systems capability and the ability to learn complex products quickly.
  • A proactive, energetic and approachable personality.

Mandarin & Cantonese – Highly Desirable

The ability to speak either  Mandarin or Cantonese is highly desirable for this position.

The branch is looking to strengthen its connection with Melbourne's diverse local community, so language capability combined with strong relationship-building skills would be highly valued.
