Main responsibilities include:

Manage a portfolio of general insurance claims from lodgement through to settlement.

Guide clients through coverage, next steps, and complex insurer decisions.

Review policy wording and support clients through disputed or technical matters.
-
Lead settlement discussions and drive claims to timely, fair outcomes.

Build strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted claims partner.

Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, investigators, and legal providers.

Coordinate meetings, respond to queries, and keep stakeholders updated.

Handle moderate to complex files in line with processes and service standards.

Prepare clear claims updates and summary reports when required.

Maintain accurate, compliant electronic records on all claim activity.

Identify when to involve specialist teams and collaborate as needed.
The ideal candidate:

Experience managing insurance claims (general insurance preferred).

Strong background in client service and can build rapport and manage sensitive conversations.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.

Highly organised, efficient, and able to juggle competing priorities.
-
Confident working independently while being a supportive team member.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and high attention to detail.
