Claims Support Officer

MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a growing insurance claims and property restoration business to recruit a Claims Support Officer for their team based in Albion.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with customer service, administration, contact centre, or insurance experience who is looking to develop their skills within the claims industry.

With continued growth and a strong reputation within the market, they are seeking a motivated Claims Support Officer to join their team.

About the Role
As a Claims Support Officer, you'll provide administrative and customer service support to Claims Consultants, helping ensure claims are progressed efficiently and customers remain informed throughout their claim journey. This is a varied role offering a combination of customer interaction, administration, stakeholder communication and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound customer calls
  • Provide administrative support to the wider claims team
  • Assist with the progression of insurance claims through various stages
  • Communicate with customers regarding claim updates and next steps
  • Prepare and maintain claim documentation
  • Liaise with customers, insurers, and internal stakeholders
  • Respond to customer enquiries and concerns professionally
  • Ensure information is accurately maintained across multiple systems


About You
The ideal candidate will be confident, customer-focused, highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

  • Experience in customer service, administration, contact centres, or insurance
  • Confidence handling both inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to prioritise competing tasks effectively
  • Strong computer skills and confidence learning new systems
  • A professional and empathetic approach when dealing with customers
  • A genuine interest in developing a career in insurance and claims


Previous insurance or claims experience is highly regarded but not essential. Candidates with strong transferable customer service skills are encouraged to apply.
