The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial & Construction Lawyer to join a well-regarded regional Legal team. This role will primarily support Australian projects, with exposure to work across the broader APAC region.
In this role, you will act as a key legal partner to senior leaders and operational teams, providing practical, solutions-focused advice across major infrastructure and commercial projects. You’ll be trusted to help shape outcomes on high-value, technically complex matters while supporting the business through the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and commercial agreements
- Advising on a variety of project-related agreements including consultancy, sub consultancy, joint venture, and framework arrangements
- Partnering with project teams to support contract administration, governance, and approval processes
- Delivering clear, commercially minded legal advice to senior stakeholders and operational leaders
- Identifying and advising on legal, contractual, and regulatory risk areas
- Working collaboratively across legal, commercial, and operational teams to support project delivery
- Contributing to the development of legal templates, guidance, and continuous improvement of contract processes
About you
- Qualified lawyer with 2-5 years post graduate
- Background in private practice and/or in-house
- Experience in conveyancing, corporate, commercial, or construction law will be highly regarded.
- Strong drafting contracts & negotiation skills
- Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commercial thinking and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail
