About the company:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Communications Adviser to join a high-performing Marketing & Communications team during a particularly exciting period of growth and transformation. We're seeking someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

This role sits within a respected for-purpose organisation. Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you'll play a key role in developing engaging content, supporting media activities and helping to amplify important stories.

This is a full-time contract opportunity based on Melbourne's city fringe, offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Writing compelling stories for publication across digital channels
  • Conducting interviews
  • Creating and repurposing content for websites, newsletters, social media and other communication channels
  • Translating complex information into clear, accessible and consumer-friendly content
  • Supporting media activities, including drafting media releases, and policy-related communications
  • Assisting with social media content and campaign delivery
  • Editing and proofreading publications and branded communications materials
  • Supporting internal communications initiatives
  • Assisting with events, including community events, stakeholder engagement activities and ministerial visits
About You:
  • Qualifications in Journalism, Communications, Media or a related discipline
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience developing content across multiple communication channels
  • The ability to quickly build relationships and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
  • An understanding of NFP’s, community services or broader social services sector will be highly regarded
