MAYDAY Recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established organisation within the education and publishing sector to recruit a Customer Service Officer. This organisation develops evidence-based literacy programs and resources used by schools and educators across Australia.
This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone with a strong work ethic who enjoys supporting customers and managing multiple administrative tasks in a busy office environment.
Working within a collaborative team, you will provide customer service and administrative support to member schools and internal stakeholders, ensuring orders, enquiries and accounts are managed efficiently.

- Full-time office-based position with hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Setting up new customer accounts
- Processing and managing customer orders
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email including pricing, invoicing, order status, dispatch information, returns and exchanges
- Assisting customers with account setup and tracking orders
- Liaising with warehouse staff and couriers regarding deliveries and returns
- Forwarding invoices to customers for payment
- Processing credits for order cancellations and returned goods
- Processing supplier invoices
- Assisting with administration of the organisation’s eLibrary platform
- Supporting professional development workshop administration
- Providing general office and administrative support as required
- Previous customer service or order processing experience
- Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage competing deadlines
- Experience liaising with customers, warehouse teams and couriers
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience using Xero or other accounting software (desirable)
- Experience in a training, events or education environment (desirable)
- Ability to work within a confidential environment
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
