You will own the Chatswood office EHS function , ensuring compliance with company and legislative safety standards across both office and laboratory spaces. This is a hands-on role , where you will drive a proactive safety culture and make a real difference in the workplace.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with legislative, regulatory, and company safety standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections , implementing practical mitigation strategies.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions , and implement corrective actions.
- Develop, update, and communicate EHS policies and procedures to staff at all levels.
- Deliver safety training, workshops, and inductions to ensure all employees understand protocols.
- Collaborate with leadership, lab teams, and office staff to promote a proactive safety culture .
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of incidents, audits, and inspections.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety systems and workplace practices.
- Support the development and testing of emergency response plans .
