MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a respected funeral service provider to recruit a compassionate and detail-oriented Embalmer to join their team based in Morningside, Brisbane .

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the preparation and embalming of deceased persons, ensuring all care is delivered with dignity, respect, and professionalism while supporting families during important moments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform embalming and preparation of deceased persons to a high standard
• Ensure all deceased care is carried out with dignity, respect, and attention to detail
• Maintain mortuary standards, hygiene, and compliance procedures
• Assist with the preparation of deceased for viewings and services
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assist with transfers and related duties when required

About You:

• Experience in embalming or mortuary practice is highly regarded
• Relevant qualification in embalming (or working towards)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of care
• Compassionate, respectful, and professional approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Flexible and willing to assist across all tasks within the location
• Current driver’s licence preferred
