Are you an experienced Policy Officer or Manager looking for your next opportunity in the public sector?
We partner with a range of government agencies and are building a talent pool of skilled Policy professionals for upcoming contract and temporary roles across diverse policy and service delivery areas.
The responsibilities of each position will vary, but as a Policy Officer in government, you will often be required to:
- Prepare and be an integral part of policy creation that aligns with the department/agency’s strategic objectives for various stakeholders, senior management and other decision makers
- Prepare briefing documents to deliver clear, evidence-based recommendations to government.
- Take on research to strengthen policy proposals and to support briefs to decision makers
- Experience in policy development and/or advocacy
- Strong understanding of the government legislation and strategic planning challenges in NSW state government
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- A proactive, positive, and team-focused attitude
