MAYDAY are partnering with a well-established global organisation to find a capable Facilities Manager
to step into a busy Pyrmont office and ensure smooth day-to-day operations during a key transitional period.
This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running, take full ownership of the workplace, and deliver a consistently high standard of service.
Open to candidates on Working Holiday Visas
as well as those with full working rights.
What’s on Offer
- Start Date: 18th May 2026
- โโโโโโโ End Date: 17th July 2026
- Duration: Approximately 8 weeks, with potential extension pending permanent hire process
- Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time (onsite)
- Location: Pyrmont, Sydney (with oversight of a small Melbourne office)
- Rate: $55-60 per hour + super
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day facilities operations across Pyrmont, with oversight of a smaller Melbourne office
- Manage and support a small on-site team, including:
- Reception
- Facilities Assistant
- Facilities Coordinator (Melbourne-based)
- Ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace environment across both locations
- Conduct regular site walkthroughs and support WHS compliance standards
- Coordinate meeting rooms, workplace services, and internal/external events
- Provide reception/front-of-house cover when required to ensure seamless service delivery
- Liaise with building management, contractors, and service providers
- Manage vendor relationships and general office operations
- Collaborate with a broader national and global facilities team
- Support minor workplace projects and ongoing operational improvements
- Step into a live environment and ensure continuity during a key transition period
About You
- Previous experience in Facilities Management, Workplace Operations, or Office Management
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate small operational teams
- Comfortable managing reception, facilities, and remote/site-based support staff
- Able to quickly integrate into a fast-paced corporate environment and take ownership from day one
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with a hands-on approach
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management ability
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable stepping into reception/front-of-house support when required
- Solid understanding of WHS and workplace compliance requirements
- Experience managing vendors and external service providers
