MAYDAY Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading community services organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative finance team where you'll partner closely with operational leaders, providing commercial insights, financial guidance and strategic support that influences business performance and long-term decision making.

Whether you're an experienced Finance Business Partner looking for a values-driven organisation or a commercially focused Management Accountant or FP&A professional ready to expand your partnering experience, we'd love to hear from you.

What's in it for you?

  • Hybrid working arrangements
  • Health and wellbeing benefits, including discounted private health insurance, gym memberships and Employee Assistance Program
  • Join a collaborative, supportive finance team with genuine career development opportunities
  • Partner directly with business leaders and influence strategic outcomes
  • Work for an organisation making a meaningful impact within the community

The Opportunity

As the Finance Business Partner, you'll become a trusted advisor to operational leaders across the organisation, providing financial analysis, commercial insights and strategic recommendations that support informed decision-making.

You'll enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same, balancing business partnering with financial planning, analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with stakeholders to provide commercial and financial advice that supports business performance
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and long-range financial plans
  • Deliver monthly reporting, KPI analysis and insightful variance commentary
  • Develop financial models, scenario analysis and cost-benefit assessments
  • Support investment decisions, business cases and strategic initiatives
  • Analyse operational and financial performance to identify opportunities and risks
  • Drive improvements across reporting, financial systems and business processes
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, translating financial information into practical business insights

About You

You'll be commercially curious, relationship-focused and passionate about helping leaders make informed decisions.

You'll also bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Accounting or Finance
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
  • Previous experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, Commercial Finance or Management Accounting
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills
  • Experience partnering with operational stakeholders and influencing decision making
  • Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience within not-for-profit, healthcare, aged care or government-funded environments
  • Experience working across multiple business units or complex organisations

Ready to Apply?

If you're looking for a role where you can combine commercial finance with genuine stakeholder partnering—and where your work contributes to a purpose-driven organisation—we'd love to hear from you.
