Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join a collaborative finance team in Melbourne. This role offers a great balance of autonomy and support, with exposure across payroll, transactional finance, and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day finance operations including accounts, reconciliations, and reporting
- Assist with payroll processing, including new starters, timesheets, leave, and terminations
- Manage Fringe Benefits Tax reporting, including logbooks, credit card, and meal entertainment expenses
- Prepare compliance reporting
- Assist with month-end close activities, journals, and reconciliations
- Review and process supplier payments, including EFT and cheque payments
- Support banking activities, including setting up client accounts
- Support with end-to-end payroll
- Assist with finance projects, including payroll system improvements and HRIS integration
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Finance or Accounts Officer role
- Strong experience in Australian payroll
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong internal relationships
- Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with accounting systems (MS Dynamics NAV highly regarded)
