An established organisation within the education sector is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join their team on a temporary full-time contract during a busy reporting period. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong financial reporting and data processing experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The Role
Working within a collaborative finance team, you will provide support across key annual reporting and financial accountability processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing and validating high volumes of Annual Financial Statement submissions
- Assisting with the preparation of Financial Questionnaires and reporting documentation
- Supporting financial accountability and compliance activities
- Managing and reviewing large datasets with a high level of accuracy
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve reporting queries and discrepancies
- Previous experience in financial accounting, audit, or financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume processing work
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including formulas and data manipulation
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Outlook
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting information
- Ability to work autonomously while meeting tight deadlines
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or other data visualisation and data preparation tools
- Previous experience within an accounting or audit firm
- Exposure to education, government, or not-for-profit environments
