MAYDAY Recruitment are currently seeking a Fleet Officer who will be responsible for coordinating one of our NSW Government Clients fleet operations including leading transition to electric vehicles (EVs) in line with NSW Government mandates.

The role ensures compliance with fleet and procurement policies, delivers high-quality customer service, and provides strategic and operational advice to stakeholders. The position also contributes to broader facilities management functions.

Hours: 35 hours per week
Hourly rate: $54ph - $56ph + Super
Start date: ASAP


About the role:

 
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of quality and timely fleet services, facilitating effective resource allocation and program support.
  • Provide high-level fleet management support to stakeholders, offering advice on fleet services and handling inquiries from stakeholders and clients.
  • Oversee the establishment and management of accounts for all motor vehicles to ensure stakeholder expectations are met and managed effectively and that existing systems are reviewed and enhanced.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including government agents, consultants, contractors, and procurement staff to deliver effective fleet services.
  • Ensuring compliance with Government fleet policies, procurement guidelines, and sustainability targets, lead the planning and implementation of the agency’s transition to electric vehicles, including infrastructure coordination, procurement, and change management.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of fleet assets, driver allocations, and vehicle servicing schedules to mitigate operational and compliance risks
  • Support general facilities operations including asset management, contractor coordination, and office services.


About you!
  • Proven Fleet experience within a government agency.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery and day to day fleet management and operations.
  • Understanding of NSW Government Mandate to transition to electric vehicles (EVs)
  • Proven experience in keeping fleet records up to date - including vehicle registrations, servicing, driver allocations, and usage logs -are accurate, current, and compliant with government policy.
  • Must hold valid NSW Drivers License
