Mayday Recruitment is partnering with a leading funeral services provider to recruit multiple Casual Funeral Director Assistants based across Epping, Dandenong, and Burwood.

These are meaningful, hands-on support roles within a professional and compassionate team, assisting Funeral Directors with day-to-day operations and ensuring families receive seamless, respectful, and elegant care during difficult times. This role requires a strong focus on elegance, presentation, and very high attention to detail.

We are seeking candidates with full availability to work across a rotating casual roster within a 24/7 operational environment.

• Support Funeral Directors with service preparation and coordination
• Assist with transfers, documentation, and operational duties
• Support the delivery of presentable, elegant services
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and professional presence at all times
• Ensure accuracy, care, and exceptional attention to detail in a sensitive, fast-paced environment

• Must have full availability for a rotating roster (including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and on-call shifts)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach
• Ability to remain calm and focused in emotional and time-sensitive situations
• High attention to detail with a strong sense of professionalism and elegance
• Reliable team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Experience in funeral services, healthcare, aged care, or logistics will be highly regarded, but is not essential
