MAYDAY Recruitment is excited to partner with a growing organisation to recruit an experienced and pragmatic HR Advisor to deliver end-to-end HR operations across Australia and the UK.
This is a hands-on, part-time opportunity suited to a confident HR generalist who thrives in operational delivery while championing positive employee experiences. You’ll work autonomously, partnering closely with leaders to ensure compliance, support employee matters, and drive people initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, Awards, NES requirements, and UK employment obligations
- Manage employment contracts, policies, and HR documentation
- Provide practical advice to leaders on performance, conduct, and employee matters
- Support performance management, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations
- Partner with hiring managers on recruitment and role scoping
- Coordinate onboarding and ensure a smooth employee lifecycle
- Own and manage Employment Hero (HRIS)
- Deliver goal setting and performance review processes
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within tech, software, or an SME environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law (UK experience highly desirable).
- Hands-on HRIS experience (Employment Hero strongly preferred).
- Confident managing employee relations matters with sound judgement and discretion.
- Organised, self-sufficient, and comfortable working autonomously in a part-time capacity.
- Clear communicator who partners effectively with leaders and employees.
