HR Advisor

$100,000 – $105,000 + super |  Hybrid working | 3 days in office |  Melbourne CBD location

A values-led organisation within the community sector is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their collaborative People & Culture team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a true generalist role, partnering with stakeholders while contributing to a positive and people-focused workplace culture.

Working closely with senior HR leaders, you will provide day-to-day advice and operational support across the full employee lifecycle, while also contributing to projects and process improvements within the broader people function.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across a broad range of people matters
• Assist with employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, contract preparation, employee changes and offboarding
• Support workforce planning activities, reporting and organisational structure updates
• Ensure employee records, documentation and HR systems are maintained accurately and in line with compliance requirements
• Interpret awards, policies and employment legislation to provide clear and consistent guidance
• Contribute to HR process improvements, policy updates and people initiatives across the organisation
• Assist with position description reviews and remuneration-related activities

• Previous experience in a HR Advisor or generalist HR position
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, modern awards and HR best practice
• Ability to manage confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Experience within purpose-led, education, healthcare or community-based organisations will be highly regarded
