This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a hands-on advisory role and partnering closely with leaders across the business. Working alongside the HR Business Partner and HR Manager, you will provide practical day-to-day HR advice and support across a broad range of employee matters.

The Role:
  • Immediate start
  • 3-month temp role with the possibility of extension
  • Sydney CBD location – work from home Monday and Friday
  • Up to $60 p/h + super
  • Monday-Friday, full-time hours
  • Work closely with the HRBP and HR Manager to provide day-to-day HR advice and support to leaders
  • Manage the HR inbox and respond to general HR queries
  • Act as a first point of contact for leaders on employee-related matters
  • Provide first-level advice on Modern Award interpretation, policies and employment conditions
  • Advise and support leaders on employee relations cases, including performance management, conduct, grievances and other workplace matters
  • Support leaders with general employee relations matters and escalate more complex cases where appropriate
  • Draft employment contracts, contract variations, letters and other HR documentation
  • Support employee movements and changes across the business
  • Assist with general HR administration and maintain accurate employee documentation
  • Provide broader HR support across the employee lifecycle
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to ensure a positive experience for both employees and leaders
To be successful, you will ideally have:
  • 2-3 years’ experience working as an HR Advisor or in a similar HR generalist role within Australia
  • A strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards
  • Confidence providing HR and employee relations advice directly to leaders
  • Experience interpreting Modern Awards and applying them to day-to-day employee queries
  • Strong written communication skills with experience preparing employment documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • SCHADS Award experience is highly desirable
