A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation based in Melbourne CBD.
This initial 3-month contract will see you take the lead on complex employee relations matters within a supportive and values-driven People & Culture team.
This role is to start ASAP and is initially contracted for 3 months. The organisation offers flexible work option with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working closely with P&C Business Partners and leaders across the organisation, you’ll act as a trusted ER/IR advisor
- Complex performance management and conduct issues
- Workplace investigations, grievances, and complaints
- Award and policy interpretation
- Dispute resolution, change management, redundancy and redeployment
- Supporting return-to-work processes and collaboration with WHS teams
- Upskilling leaders on best-practice employee relations
- Reviewing and improving policies and case management frameworks
What You Bring
- Proven experience in a similar ER/IR-focused HR role
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law, Modern Awards, and Fair Work legislation
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex investigations, performance, and misconduct matters
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and coaching skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline
