MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a boutique insurance brokerage that is continuing to grow and is now looking to bring on an Insurance Account Executive to support their expanding client base.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their broking career (around 1–2 years’ experience) who is ready to step into a more autonomous, client-facing role while being supported by an experienced senior team. Or someone with strong insurance brokerage experience, who wants to expand on their knowledge and skillset. 

The Role

You’ll take ownership of your own portfolio from the outset, managing a book valued at approximately $350K–$400K in revenue. The client base sits largely within the SME space, with a particular focus on hospitality risks across Australia.

You’ll be supported by a shared assistant who will help with the processing side, allowing you to focus on client relationships, renewals, and broking strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow your own portfolio of SME commercial clients
  • Handle renewals, endorsements, and policy adjustments end-to-end
  • Work closely with a Senior Account Manager on more complex risks
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers
  • Assist with new business opportunities and referrals
  • Navigate and place niche or hard-to-insure risks within hospitality and property

About You

  • Tier 1 Broking qualification (essential)
  • Around 1–2 years’ experience in insurance broking
  • Keen to step into a more independent Account Executive role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships
  • Motivated to learn and develop within a close-knit team
