MAYDAY Recruitment is seeking an experienced In-Specie Team Leader to join a growing financial services organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong people leader who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and overseeing complex asset transfers. You’ll play a key role in driving team performance while ensuring operational excellence across in-specie transfer activities.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Lead and support a team responsible for in-specie transfers and asset movements
  • Create a positive team environment that encourages accountability and collaboration
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, particularly on more complex or sensitive cases
  • Oversee the end-to-end transfer process across various asset types and platforms
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance across all transactions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g. brokers, custodians, registries)
  • Support team capability through coaching, feedback and development
  • Help identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
  • Manage workloads and priorities to meet service standards and deadlines

The ideal candidate:
  • Experience in a team leadership or senior operational role within financial services
  • Strong exposure to in-specie transfers, asset movements or platform operations
  • Working knowledge of CHESS, registries, custodians or similar environments
  • The ability to manage complex workflows and competing priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A hands-on leadership style with a focus on team development
  • High attention to detail and a strong understanding of risk and compliance
  • A proactive and solutions-driven mindset
