Key Responsibilities
- Assess claims through on-site visits using company processes, systems and technology
- Manage a portfolio of claims from initial notification through to settlement
- Investigate the cause and extent of loss, ensuring a thorough and efficient approach
- Determine policy coverage in line with terms and conditions
- Deliver high-quality loss adjusting services in line with client expectations
- Provide proactive, clear communication to clients and stakeholders on findings and next steps
- Accurately calculate repair and/or replacement costs and set reserves
- Appoint and collaborate with external professionals, suppliers and service providers
- Ensure all claims are managed in line with SLAs and KPIs
- Adhere to contractual, statutory and General Insurance Code of Practice requirements
- Maintain consistent, timely and accurate communication with all stakeholders
About You
- Previous experience in loss adjusting or property claims, ideally across areas such as Commercial, Liability, Construction & Engineering, Strata and/or complex losses
- Relevant industry qualification (e.g. ANZIIF or equivalent)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce detailed reports
- Comfortable using claims management systems and relevant technologies
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Current and valid driver’s licence
