Location: Brisbane - Hybrid role

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess claims through on-site visits using company processes, systems and technology
  • Manage a portfolio of claims from initial notification through to settlement
  • Investigate the cause and extent of loss, ensuring a thorough and efficient approach
  • Determine policy coverage in line with terms and conditions
  • Deliver high-quality loss adjusting services in line with client expectations
  • Provide proactive, clear communication to clients and stakeholders on findings and next steps
  • Accurately calculate repair and/or replacement costs and set reserves
  • Appoint and collaborate with external professionals, suppliers and service providers
  • Ensure all claims are managed in line with SLAs and KPIs
  • Adhere to contractual, statutory and General Insurance Code of Practice requirements
  • Maintain consistent, timely and accurate communication with all stakeholders

About You

  • Previous experience in loss adjusting or property claims, ideally across areas such as Commercial, Liability, Construction & Engineering, Strata and/or complex losses
  • Relevant industry qualification (e.g. ANZIIF or equivalent)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce detailed reports
  • Comfortable using claims management systems and relevant technologies
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Current and valid driver’s licence
