Multimedia Assistant (Casual)

About the Role
MAYDAY is proud to be partnering with Australia’s largest funeral service provider to recruit a Multimedia Assistant in Geelong West. This newly created casual position offers the opportunity to work closely with our Multimedia Coordinator, assisting with the creation of printed and digital memorial materials for families.
This role is ideal for someone with experience or qualifications in graphic design, multimedia, marketing, or a related field who enjoys combining creativity with excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and prepare printed memorial materials including:
- Produce photo tribute videos using our in-house software
- Edit and enhance photographs using Adobe Photoshop where required
- Design and format printed materials using Adobe InDesign and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Contact families via phone and email to gather information and imagery
- Send upload links and assist families with submitting digital photos
- Scan and prepare hard-copy photographs when needed
- Incorporate music and visual elements into photo tribute presentations
- Send drafts and proofs to families for review and approval
- Manage multiple projects while ensuring strict deadlines are met
- Maintain accurate records and attention to detail throughout the production process
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Competent and confident using computers and digital systems
- Experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign and Photoshop
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Able to work independently while also taking direction and feedback
- Comfortable communicating with families in a professional and compassionate manner
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise daily tasks effectively
- Committed to meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in graphic design, multimedia, marketing, or a related creative field
- Practical experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
