MAYDAY Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and driven New Equipment Sales Consultant to join a leading organisation within the lift and building solutions industry.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and managing large-scale projects from proposal through to installation and ongoing service transition.
The Role:
Reporting to the New Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and increasing market share across your allocated region. You will work closely with architects, builders, consultants, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Generate sales leads through industry research, tenders, networking, and market intelligence
- Identify customer requirements and prepare tailored project proposals and estimates
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximise project success and conversion
- Manage client negotiations and maintain strong stakeholder relationships throughout the sales cycle
- Coordinate booking documentation and act as the key liaison between customers and internal teams
- Participate in sales and installation processes to ensure seamless project delivery
- Monitor installed equipment during the defects liability period and support the transition into service contracts
- Collaborate with branch service teams to prepare service pricing proposals
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitors, relevant codes, and construction practices
- Deliver customer presentations showcasing product and service benefits
- Provide regular market intelligence updates to local management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience within a large, matrix-style organisation
- Strong track record in sales and key account management, ideally within the lift/elevator industry
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing and securing large-scale deals
- Strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills
- Proficient with technology and reporting systems including Word, Excel, Email, and CRM/database systems
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to business development
