NSW Government - Recruitment Officer 

MAYDAY Recruitment are excited to be partnering with a NSW Government Department to bring on board a Recruitment Officer.
Manage the end to end recruitment processes and support the process of contract extensions to assist with the development and continuation of a dedicated and well-rounded workforce. The details:

Duration: Until end of May 2026 (Subject to change)
Start Date: Commencing December (Can be flexible)
Day Rate:  $60ph + Super
Location: Sydney CBD AND Kingswood (Successful candidate must be flexible on attending both sites but can be flexible on how often)
Flexibility: Hybrid flexibility, 3 days in the office (Flexible options available)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, full time hours (35 hour week)


The role
  • Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a high volume of recruitment and employment applications to ensure recruitments are completed in a timely manner and are consistent with public sector procedures and regulations.
  • Prepare and distribute letters of offer and onboarding paperwork to ensure clear and accurate employment records.
  • Coordinate interviews and assessments to ensure recruitment processes are conducted appropriately and that candidate care in shown at all times.
  • Provide prompt and confidential advice to staff and managers in relation to recruitment processes and the interpretation of complex HR regulations.
  • Write recruitment advertisements and electronically submit them for approval in compliance with agency and e-recruitment standards to facilitate prompt recruitment processes.
  • Post recruitment advertisements on a range of platforms to ensure maximum reach to potential candidates.
  • Manage the quarterly onsite inductions, including coordinating presenters and attendees, ensuring participation in and promotion of the sessions and the relevancy and appropriateness of presentations.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records in the relevant records management database to ensure compliance with recordkeeping and audit standards and as required provide administrative support for the learning and development function.

About you!
 
  • Proven experience in a government recruitment role preferred 
  • Proven experience working in high volume recruitment
  • Experience working in a range of roles (entry level - exec level)
