Contract Rate:$738 per day + super

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a major digital transformation initiative involving the migration of systems and databases to a new platform for one of our NSW government agencies.
This role requires a hands-on, delivery-focused BA who can quickly understand the current state, identify gaps, and drive outcomes across multiple workstreams. You will work closely with project managers, service designers, vendors, developers and junior BAs to ensure successful delivery in a fast-paced environment.
You will also play a key mentoring role, supporting the current junior Business Analyst while helping uplift BA capability across the broader program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and analysis activities across digital delivery initiatives
- Gather, define and document business and system requirements
- Develop user stories, process models, acceptance criteria and functional documentation
- Work closely with project managers, vendors, developers and testers to support delivery outcomes
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions across business and technical teams
- Support backlog management, prioritisation and delivery planning
- Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts
- Produce high-quality documentation and maintain traceability across requirements and delivery
- Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance operational outcomes
About You
- Proven experience working within digital transformation or digital program delivery environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working across both business and technical BA functions
- Ability to work autonomously and quickly establish direction
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior Business Analysts
- Strong documentation and requirements management capability
