Client Service Officer - NSW State Government
We are seeking a compassionate and customer-focused Client Service Officer for one of the leading NSW State Government teams based in Parramatta.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills, experience supporting vulnerable individuals, and an interest in financial administration and community services.
Role Details
- Start: ASAP
- Contract: Initial 1-month contract with strong potential for extension
- Pay Rate:$40 per hour + super
- Location: Parramatta NSW
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Work Arrangement: Full time in office role
About the Role
You will support customers experiencing complex personal and financial circumstances by assisting with onboarding, financial administration, budgeting, customer enquiries, and ongoing support services while delivering empathetic and professional customer care.
The customer base includes vulnerable individuals such as:
- NDIS participants
- Customers in aged care
- Young people previously in care
- Adults living with disability
- Customers with significant assets or property
Key Responsibilities
- Support customer financial management and action planning
- Build rapport and understand individual customer needs
- Conduct onboarding and triage customer complexity
- Respond to enquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Maintain accurate records and liaise with internal teams
- Escalate complex matters where required
Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting vulnerable individuals
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
- Comfortable working within policies and compliance frameworks
