Office Manager – Sydney CBD (Temp 3–6 Months, with View to Permanent)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Rate: $45–50 per hour + super About the opportunity:
Mayday Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing Australian software scale-up to find a hands-on, proactive, house-proud Office Manager to join their busy Sydney CBD office.
The ideal candidate will be someone who takes ownership of their space, notices what needs doing, and gets it done. You’ll be at the heart of the office, ensuring it’s organised, welcoming, and running seamlessly day-to-day. This is a fantastic time to come on board, as the business is growing quickly and there’s a real opportunity to make an impact in the workplace.
What you’ll be doing:-
Taking ownership of the office end-to-end, keeping it organised, functional, and welcoming

Managing day-to-day operations including kitchen and office supplies, catering, and groceries

Coordinating meeting rooms, events, and workplace logistics

Supporting office projects, improvements, and general admin/HR tasks

Being proactive – spotting what needs doing and getting it done without micro-management

Proven experience in an office management, facilities, or similar role

Super house-proud, proactive, and hands-on – someone who takes ownership and delivers

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently in a busy, dynamic environment

Full working rights in Australia (Working Holiday Visa holders cannot be considered)
