About the Company

Our client, a leading national healthcare organisation, is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join their collaborative and high-performing payroll team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to leverage their payroll knowledge in a role focused on compliance, governance and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Payroll Governance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring payroll compliance across a large and complex workforce. Rather than processing payroll, you'll analyse payroll data, investigate discrepancies, support governance initiatives and partner with Payroll and HR to ensure legislative, award and enterprise agreement compliance.Working within a complex payroll environment using Chris21 and UKG, you'll also contribute to ongoing payroll systems enhancements, process improvements and payroll transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies and compliance risks.
  • Review payroll processes, controls and governance frameworks.
  • Interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements and relevant payroll legislation.
  • Partner with Payroll and HR to resolve complex payroll issues.
  • Maintain payroll policies, procedures and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous end-to-end payroll processing experience within a medium to large organisation.
  • Experience in a Payroll Analyst, or Senior Payroll Officer role is highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of Awards, EBA's and superannuation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and investigation skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse large data sets.
  • Experience using Chris21 and/or UKG is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
