What you’ll be doing
-
Owning end-of-pay and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy before the financial close
-
Working across the entire payroll function, requiring strong end-to-end payroll knowledge
-
Ensuring payroll results correctly flow through major systems such as SAP
-
Managing key compliance obligations across AU & NZ, including payroll tax, superannuation, child support and legislative changes
-
Supporting NZ payroll deliverables such as IRD submissions and payday filing
-
Handling finance-focused payroll tasks including month-end and audit support
-
Working closely with stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to deadlines
-
Identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities within reconciliation processes
What you bring

Strong payroll background from a large or complex business (high-volume payruns essential)

Proven experience in payroll reconciliation, end-of-pay or month-end payroll processes

Advanced Excel capability and confident SAP end-user knowledge

Solid understanding of AU & NZ payroll compliance requirements

Detail-oriented, confident, and execution-focused, someone who loves accuracy and getting things done
