What you’ll be doing

• Owning end-of-pay and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy before the financial close

• Working across the entire payroll function, requiring strong end-to-end payroll knowledge

• Ensuring payroll results correctly flow through major systems such as SAP

• Managing key compliance obligations across AU & NZ, including payroll tax, superannuation, child support and legislative changes

• Supporting NZ payroll deliverables such as IRD submissions and payday filing

• Handling finance-focused payroll tasks including month-end and audit support

• Working closely with stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to deadlines

• Identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities within reconciliation processes

What you bring

• Strong payroll background from a large or complex business (high-volume payruns essential)

• Proven experience in payroll reconciliation, end-of-pay or month-end payroll processes

• Advanced Excel capability and confident SAP end-user knowledge

• Solid understanding of AU & NZ payroll compliance requirements

• Detail-oriented, confident, and execution-focused, someone who loves accuracy and getting things done

• Ability to work with pace, precision, and accountability in a complex environment
