About the Company
Our client is a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team on a 3-month temporary assignment. This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys being hands-on with end-to-end payroll while also getting involved in projects and initiatives outside of the day-to-day payroll function.
Working as part of the payroll team, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll while supporting key projects, process improvements and other payroll initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and within required deadlines.
- Manage new starters, terminations, leave, allowances, adjustments and other payroll changes.
- Respond to payroll queries and provide support to employees and key stakeholders.
- Complete payroll reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure payroll processes remain compliant with relevant legislation and requirements.
- Support payroll projects and initiatives outside of BAU.
- Assist with system testing, process improvements and implementation activities.
Skills and Experience
- Previous end-to-end Australian payroll experience within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, Awards, superannuation and compliance.
- Experience working across larger payroll systems like Chris21/SAP
- Previous exposure to payroll projects, systems or process improvement.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
