About the Company
Our client is a well-established organisation employing a large and diverse workforce across multiple locations. They are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join their established payroll function and play a key role in ensuring the accurate and compliant delivery of payroll services.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the payroll team, providing leadership, technical support and guidance while ensuring payroll deadlines and compliance obligations are met.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Team Leader seeking a new challenge within a complex and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor and support a team of Payroll Officers.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a large and diverse workforce.
• Ensure payroll compliance with relevant legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
• Manage complex payroll queries and escalations.
• Review payroll processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support payroll reporting, reconciliations and audit requirements.
• Assist with payroll projects, system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
• Previous experience as a Payroll Team Leader, overseeing day to day BAU and team management
• Strong understanding of legislative requirements, superannuation and Fair Work requirements.
• Experience interpreting awards and enterprise agreements.
• Proven experience working within a high-volume and complex payroll environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to payroll systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
