About the Organisation
Join a national, essential-services provider with reach across metro and remote communities. The business is navigating major operational change — making People & Culture central to its future success.
You’ll work in a fast-paced, complex environment where your ability to build trust quickly, influence leaders, and manage competing priorities with resilience will define your impact.
This is an environment where credibility matters — you’ll be the first point of contact for all people-related matters, partnering closely with frontline teams, lab technicians, specialists, and operational leaders.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll operate both strategically and operationally, guiding leaders through transformation while maintaining rigor across people processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex ER/IR matters, ensuring integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Coach leaders through challenging performance situations with confidence
- Question the status quo — challenge processes, bring fresh thinking, and simplify systems
- Create clear, scalable playbooks and workflows to support national consistency
- Coach and develop leaders to build capability and manage teams effectively
- Support talent management, succession planning, and internal mobility
- Partner on workforce planning to drive labour efficiency and better ways of working
- Drive effective annual and personal leave management
- Leverage HR metrics (exit interviews, pulse surveys, onboarding insights) to guide decisions
- Use SuccessFactors (preferred) and Kronos to support accurate people data and processes
- Build strong trust-based relationships across the business — at speed
- Understand stakeholder needs proactively and be visible, connected, and approachable
- A Senior HR Advisor ready to step into a true Business Partner role
- Someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume, people-centric environments
- Candidates from retail, fast food, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, or any large, service-driven, multi-site organisation
- Someone who is hands-on, operational, and happy to be “in the thick of it”
- A natural relationship builder who can coach, influence, and challenge constructively
- This role requires pace, adaptability, and strong commercial awareness — not just ER capability. We are looking for someone who sees the bigger picture, partners deeply with the business, and helps leaders navigate significant change with confidence.
