We're seeking an experienced and proactive Practice Manager to join a busy and well-established General Practice on an initial 3–6 month contract, with the genuine potential for the role to become permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident leader who enjoys driving operational improvements, developing high-performing teams and creating efficient systems within a healthcare environment. Working closely with the executive team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the practice operates smoothly while fostering a positive and accountable workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the practice.
  • Manage, coach and performance manage the reception and administration team.
  • Drive improvements across systems, processes and workflows.
  • Support recruitment, workforce planning and staff retention initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and healthcare regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, clinical staff and senior leadership.
  • Oversee operational budgets and reporting, while coordinating finance-related functions.
  • Utilise Best Practice software to support efficient practice operations.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Practice Manager within a General Practice is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with strong performance management skills.
  • Confident leading change and implementing process improvements.
  • Hands-on, proactive and solutions-focused.
  • Able to lead fairly while creating accountability and a positive team culture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
