About the Company:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Quality & Risk Manager to join a highly regarded organisation operating within the mental health sector.
Located on the fringe of Melbourne's CBD, this role offers the opportunity to lead quality, risk and accreditation initiatives that directly contribute to exceptional clinical outcomes and organisational excellence. Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will lead a dedicated function, manage one direct report and partner closely with clinical and operational leaders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading the organisation's quality and risk management program
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across clinical and operational services
- Managing accreditation processes and ensuring ongoing compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
- Maintaining and enhancing organisational risk frameworks, including oversight of the risk register
- Developing, reviewing and implementing policies, procedures and governance frameworks
- Providing expert advice on quality, risk, privacy and compliance matters
- Facilitating investigations, root cause analyses and corrective action plans
- Delivering education and training to leaders and staff on quality and risk practices
- Preparing reports, dashboards and performance metrics for executive and governance committees
- Leading quality and risk committees and fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement
- Managing and developing one direct report
About You:
- Previous experience working in the health and mental health space
- Previous experience in a Quality, Risk, Clinical Governance or Healthcare Compliance role
- Strong knowledge of accreditation standards, including ACHS and National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards
- Experience managing risk frameworks, investigations and quality improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholder groups
- Postgraduate qualifications in Quality, Risk, Governance or Healthcare Management
- Experience leading accreditation activities
- Experience within private healthcare, hospital or mental health settings
