An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Records Specialist to join a Local Government organisation in a centrally located office. This 12-month contract offers flexibility, RDOs and the chance to contribute to key records and digitisation initiatives.
As a key member of the Information Management team, you will support the management of both physical and digital records, ensuring compliance with legislative and Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) standards.
This role combines operational records management with stakeholder support and project contributions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage physical and electronic records
- Provide internal support and guidance to staff using HP Content Manager (EDRMS)
- Process incoming and outgoing hard copy mail (collection and distribution)
- Respond to internal requests via the customer request management system
- Manage file retrieval and creation requests
- Support archiving activities in line with PROV retention and disposal standards
- Contribute to digitisation initiatives, including sentencing and disposal assessments
- Assist with ongoing records compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in Records and Information Management
- Strong working knowledge of HP Content Manager (highly regarded)
- Understanding of PROV standards, retention and disposal processes
- Experience managing both physical and digital records
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks and mail processing (driver’s licence required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent internal stakeholder engagement skills
