About the company:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Records Team Leader to join a Local Government organisation in a centrally located office. This part-time (3 days per week) 12-month contract has arisen due to internal secondments across key project initiatives.

Reporting to the Information Management Coordinator, you will lead and support a team of three (Records Officer, Records Specialist and Records Lead) while partnering closely with the IM Lead to deliver key strategic initiatives.

This role will balance people leadership with hands-on project work, with a strong focus on compliance, governance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and develop the Corporate Records Team (3 direct reports)
  • Support the IM Lead in planning and delivering the Records Management Strategy and Action Plan
  • Review and enhance the disposal program
  • Strengthen compliance and records management frameworks
  • Drive best practice in information and records management
  • Provide operational oversight of day-to-day records functions

About You
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in Records and Information Management
  • Strong understanding of compliance, governance and disposal programs
  • Experience using HP Content Manager (highly regarded)
  • Ability to lead through change and support project delivery
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills within complex environments
