About the Role
MAYDAY is partnering with a global insurance brand to recruit a Recruitment Specialist in their Sydney office. This role focuses on high volume, entry level hiring, managing end to end recruitment, onboarding, and assessment centre activities. You’ll also provide guidance to candidates and hiring managers, making this a fantastic opportunity to grow your experience in talent acquisition and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for entry-level roles: advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checks, psychometric testing, background checks, and offers.
- Support Talent Manager with recruitment strategies and campaigns.
- Provide recruitment advice and support to hiring managers.
- Run assessment centres and recruitment campaigns.
- Manage onboarding processes, including contracts, paperwork, and follow-ups.
- Welcome and support new starters during their first week.
- Participate in external recruitment campaigns with universities, colleges, and professional associations (e.g., AICLA/ANZIIF).
- Support Graduate Program and Academy Program recruitment as needed.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in recruitment or HR administration.
- Knowledge of recruitment best practices, HR policies, and relevant legislation.
- Proficiency in MS Office; HRIS and ATS experience preferred.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Flexible, adaptable, and proactive team player.
- Tertiary qualification in HR, IR, or related field (Desirable not mandatory).
