This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to to play a critical role in a global, market-leading business, taking ownership of financial control, reporting and compliance whilst ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial results.

- Work alongside existing MAYDAY temporary members of staff, that consistently provide exceptional feedback on their experience with this client
- Drive the month-end close process, ensuring the integrity of balance sheets, profit and loss and cash flow
- Take ownership of preparing and reviewing financial statements for a broad range of entities across ANZ
- Perform monthly reviews, drive balance sheet review processes and manage weekly cash flow forecasts
- Be accountable for month-end and year-end close processes, including calculating, posting and informing complex journals for the wider business
- Work to global reporting standards, truly partnering with local and international stakeholders to ensure accuracy
- Oversee intercompany reconciliations and cost allocations
- Become a true business partner, managing stakeholder expectations in a way that fosters trust and collaboration, including providing financial insights and technical accounting advice
- Partner with the business to support with ad-hoc analysis and lead process improvement initiatives - a real opportunity for your thoughts to be heard!
- Take ownership of tax governance, compliance and audit activities
- A unique opportunity to mentor and guide junior members of staff, acting a key support for the team and Finance Manager whilst helping to set the team up for success
You will need to:
- Experience as an Accounting expert at a senior level is essential
- Be a strong communicator to genuinely partner with stakeholders on a local and global scale, promoting collaboration
- Adopt a proactive, self-driven approach to your duties, to support with shaping this position moving forward
- Experience in the use of SAP is highly-beneficial, along with PowerBI
- Be tech-savvy, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems with ease
- Have an adaptable, curious attitude that allows you to roll with changes whilst also understanding areas for process improvement
- Have a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
- Experience of working in a global business with multiple entities would be beneficial for this role
- Background in an audit environment would also be beneficial
- Candidates must be able to commence at short-notice, ideally with immediate availability
