Main responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly management reports and board reporting packs
- Delivering cost centre reporting, variance analysis and insightful commentary
- Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reporting in line with accounting standards
- Performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring strong financial controls are maintained
- Assisting with internal and external audit processes
- Analysing financial performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes
- Driving process improvements to streamline reporting and automate manual tasks
- Supporting finance system enhancements, including configuration updates and data management
- Assisting with strategic projects and broader finance transformation initiatives
The ideal candidate:
- 5+ years’ accounting experience, ideally with experience in a senior or supervisory capacity
- CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion)
- Strong background in financial and management reporting
- Solid understanding of compliance, controls and accounting standards
- Experience in financial services or a regulated industry (preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP/system exposure (experience with large-scale systems highly regarded)
- Experience working on process improvements, automation or system upgrades
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
