About the Company

Our client is a leading national healthcare organisation with a large and complex workforce. They are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Compliance Analyst to join their payroll function and play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, legislative compliance and strong governance. Working closely with senior Payroll and HR stakeholders, you will provide specialist advice on payroll compliance, identify and mitigate risks, and support the ongoing improvement of payroll processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead reviews of payroll processes, controls and compliance practices.
  • Investigate payroll discrepancies, compliance issues and potential underpayments.
  • Interpret awards, enterprise agreements, legislation and payroll-related obligations.
  • Conduct payroll audits and reviews, identifying risks and areas for improvement.
  • Support remediation activities and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Analyse payroll data to identify trends, anomalies and compliance risks.
  • Develop and maintain payroll governance documentation, processes and controls.
  • Contribute to payroll projects, system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
  • Significant experience within payroll, payroll compliance, payroll governance or a senior payroll analytical role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work requirements, awards, EBAs and superannuation.
  • Proven experience identifying, investigating and resolving complex payroll compliance issues.
  • Advanced Excel and payroll data analysis skills.
  • Experience with payroll audits, remediation or governance frameworks.
  • Ability to confidently interpret legislation and translate requirements into practical payroll processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across multiple levels of an organisation.
