MAYDAY Recruitment is proud to partner with one of Australia's most respected funeral service providers to appoint an experienced Service Delivery Manager to oversee operations across two well-established funeral service brands in Hobart.
This is a significant leadership opportunity for an experienced operations professional who is confident leading teams, managing complex day-to-day operations and delivering a consistently high standard of service in a sensitive and fast-paced environment.
While experience within the funeral industry would be highly regarded, we are also open to candidates from critical care, healthcare, medical, aged care, emergency services or other high-pressure, people-focused environments where strong operational leadership and exceptional customer care are essential.
About the Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of multiple sites, supporting teams and maintaining high standards across all aspects of service delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, supporting and developing operational teams across multiple locations
- Overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring services are delivered efficiently and professionally
- Managing staffing, rosters, resources and operational requirements
- Ensuring policies, procedures, compliance and WHS standards are consistently maintained
- Supporting teams through complex, sensitive and sometimes high-pressure situations
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and customer experience
- Building strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders and external partners
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to ensure a consistently high level of service
We are looking for an accomplished leader who thrives in environments where people, service and operational excellence are equally important.
You may come from funeral services, healthcare, medical, aged care, critical care, emergency services, hospitality, or another highly regulated and fast-paced environment.
You will ideally bring:
- Proven experience leading teams and managing complex operations
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- A genuine people-focused leadership style
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing competing priorities across multiple teams or locations
- A strong understanding of compliance, safety and operational procedures
- The maturity and empathy required to work in a sensitive, customer-focused environment
