You will focus on managing third-party motor settlements, negotiating with insurers, hire car companies, repairers, and legal representatives.
This is a task-driven, negotiation-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and achieving fair commercial outcomes.
The successful candidate will have motor claims or Settlements experience and be ready to hit the ground running .

- Hours: 8:45 am – 5:00 pm (36.25 hours/week)

- Salary: $80k – $82k + Super
- Flexible Working: Hybrid – Monday & Tuesday in-office, 3 days WFH after training

Role Duties
- Review claim details, policy coverage, liability, and exposure to determine potential risks and settlement strategies.
- Review and assess repair estimates, loss calculations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.
- Review and validate hire car invoices to confirm charges align with industry standards and agreed terms.
- Identify patterns of excessive hire car usage or potential collusion between repairers and hire car providers.
- Determine whether hire car costs are recoverable from the at-fault party or should be absorbed by the company.
- Negotiate with other insurers in third-party at-fault matters, including claims presented against the company.
- Engage with third parties, repairers, hire car companies, and legal representatives to negotiate fair, cost-effective settlements in line with company guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- Commercial motor claims or Settlements experience – essential
- Confidence on the phone and a proactive approach
- Ability to take initiative in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
